The information we obtained during our participation in the crisis cell of the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) indicates that restaurants will remain open. However, only drive-through service and delivery are permitted during curfew. This means that truckers who want to eat at the restaurant between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. may have to place an order that will be delivered to them… in the parking lot next to the restaurant. The MTQ tells us that it has little control over this bizarre situation. We therefore recommend, whenever possible, that you bring a lunch with you if you plan to eat during curfew, just in case…
As always, the Teamsters Union will keep you informed of developments. Be careful on the road and respect the Highway Safety Code since the municipal and provincial police officers have indicated that they will be strict, especially with regard to speed limits.
