President and Privacy Officer

Brother Blanchard was appointed President of Local 931 on August 26, 2022. He has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations (B.A.) and a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.), and he joined Local 931 in December 1992.

In 1998, he became the Recording Secretary for the Executive Committee of Local 931 and was appointed to the position of Vice President in July 2006. On September 1, 2013, Brother Blanchard became the Secretary-Treasurer. During that time, he was appointed Assistant Director of the Package Division at Teamsters Canada and Vice-President of Joint Council 91 (Teamsters Québec).

In 2015, Brother Blanchard was appointed Special Assistant to the President of Teamsters Canada, François Laporte, and General Counsel. In January 2020, he succeeded Gerry Boutin as the Québec representative on the Executive Committee of Teamsters Canada.

On January 1, 2020, he was entrusted with the TD Meloche Monnex file as a Business Agent. Today, Brother Blanchard serves on numerous committees, including the UPS pension fund, the trucking industry pension fund, the Purolator pension fund (as an observer), Retraite Québec, as well as various insurance committees.

Since 1992, as Legal Counsel for Local 931, Pierre-André Blanchard continues to litigate grievances and claims before the courts.

Secretary-Treasurer and Business Agent

Brother Dubois has been a member of Local 931 since 1984, during which time he worked as a driver for Jolicoeur Laundry.

In 1989, he was elected as a Shop Steward, and then as Chief Shop Steward in 1991. In October 2002, he became an Assistant Business Agent and on January 1, 2004, he became a Business Agent. On January 1, 2007, he joined the Executive Committee of Local 931 as a Trustee, and later held the position of Recording Secretary as of January 20, 2019. On August 26, 2022, he was appointed Secretary-Treasurer.

Brother Dubois also serves on the FTQ Permanent Employment Insurance Committee and is part of the Financial Intervention Team at Joint Council 91 (Teamsters Québec). A graduate of Collège Fonds-FTQ, he oversees trainings at Local 931.

Vice-President and Business Agent

Brother Aubin has been a member of Local 931 since 1984, when he worked for Gelco Express. He was elected Chief Shop Steward in 1986 and later joined Purolator Courier following a merger. He was again elected Chief Shop Steward in 1990 and in 1997 became an Assistant Business Agent. In 1999, he was hired as a Business Agent and was appointed as an officer of Local 931 in 2002 as a Trustee. In July 2006, he was promoted to the position of Recording Secretary, and on January 20, 2019, he was appointed by members of the Executive Board as Vice President.

Over the years, Brother Aubin has been involved in numerous capacities, including national negotiations at Purolator. In January 2007, he joined the Supplementary Pension Committee for the trucking industry in the Montreal region as an administrator, also serving on the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee of the Insurance Plan. In September 2013, he became Deputy Political Coordinator for Quebec at Teamsters Canada, and in 2018, he took the role of President of the Training Committee at Teamsters Québec.

Director of Recruitment, Secretary-Archivist, and Business Agent

Brother Coursol has been a member of Local 931 since 1987, during which time he worked for Purolator Courier. He was elected as a Shop Steward in 1989 and Chief Shop Steward in 1992. In 2001, he became an Assistant Business Agent and participated in national negotiations for Purolator Courier. In May 2005, he was appointed as a Business Agent, and in 2010, he was promoted to Trustee within the Executive Committee of Local 931. On August 26, 2022, he became Recording Secretary.

Since September 2013, Brother Coursol has been a member of the General Council of the FTQ. A graduate of Collège Fonds-FTQ, he was appointed Director of Recruitment for Local 931 on January 1, 2019, in addition to his role as a Business Agent.

Trustee and Business Agent

Brother Baillargeon has been a member of Local 931 since July 1990. In November 1996, he was elected as a Shop Steward at the Purolator depot in Boucherville, later becoming Chief Shop Steward in 2001. In 2006, he joined Local 931 as an Assistant Business Agent. In July 2015, he was promoted to Business Agent, and on January 20, 2019, he was appointed as a Trustee on the Executive Board of Local 931. Brother Baillargeon is also a graduate of Collège Fonds-FTQ.

Trustee and Business Agent

Brother Sobol has been a member of Local 931 since 1986. He was elected as a Shop Steward by his colleagues at the UPS center in Ville St-Laurent in November 1986. He held this position for 35 years and participated in all negotiations for the renewal of UPS's collective bargaining agreement, including national negotiations. In 2014, Brother Sobol was appointed Chief Shop Steward for the centers in Lachine, West Island, Blainville, and Brossard. On January 1, 2019, he became an Assistant Business Agent, and on January 1, 2020, he was promoted to Business Agent. It was in November 2020 that he became a Trustee.

Trustee and Business Agent

Brother Skelling has been a member of Local 931 since June 1983, when he began working at Purolator. In the same year, he was elected as a Shop Steward and became Chief Shop Steward in 1999. In January 2021, he joined the Teamsters as an Assistant Business Agent and was promoted to Business Agent in January 2022.

On September 19, 2022, Brother Skelling was appointed as a Trustee on the Executive Board of Local 931.

Business Agent

Brother Asselin has been a member of the Teamsters since 2004, initially working in the warehouse at McKesson, a pharmaceutical distribution center. He became a Shop Steward in 2018. In February 2023, he was hired by Local 931 as an Assistant Business Agent. Since May 2023, he has been serving as a Business agent and Sergeant-at-Arms on the Executive Board.

Executive Assistant

Sister Gegear joined the office staff in April 1987 as an Administrative Assistant, following her work at Gelco Express, where employees were unionized with Local 931. In September 1994, she was promoted to Executive Assistant, taking on several additional responsibilities, including that of Legal Secretary.

Administrative Assistant

Carole Guernon has been working within Local 931 since January 1989, where she started as a receptionist. In July 1992, she was promoted to the position of Administrative Assistant and became a member of Local 931 in 1998.

Accounting Manager

Sylvia, who brings extensive professional experience in information technology and accounting/finance, began her role at Local 931 on May 1, 2017. She oversees the financial division of the Local and supports the Secretary-Treasurer in their duties. Sylvia was chosen by the leadership of Local 931 for her proven skills, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
