Dear Sisters:
Dear Brothers:

We are in the process of finalizing the Canadian union demands document, which will be presented to UPS shortly. This document includes your demands that you have sent us and also takes into account your demands during union meetings with regards to the renewal of your collective agreement.

Negotiations at UPS will begin shortly, taking into account the restrictions and limitations imposed by public health due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These will not prevent us from asserting your demands with UPS and we are taking the means to achieve them.

While we have not yet started negotiations for the renewal of the collective agreement, UPS has asked us to extend the current collective agreement, without any changes. UPS management is certainly offering a salary increase, however without any modifications to the content of the current collective agreement.

In short, UPS is ignoring your legitimate concerns for which you have given us the mandate to negotiate.

Consequently, we have informed the company that we refuse this request and this way of proceeding, but that we are ready to negotiate the complete renewal of your collective agreement, which will have to take into account your needs and demands.

We are confident that negotiations will begin shortly and we will keep you informed of the next steps.

If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact your business agent/union representative.
