Montreal – The employees at the Boucherville and Montreal (St. Laurent) hubs will be transferred to the new mega hub located in Dorval.

“There will be no job losses,” said Michel Aubin, union representative of Teamsters Local Union 931 which represents Purolator employees.

The employees based at the Quebec City hub will be affected by this restructuring however no job losses are expected.

“Employees in Quebec City who may be affected by an eventual decrease of the volume of packages sorting will be eventually transferred to the new Dorval mega centre,” explains the union representative. “In fact, we are currently negotiating with the employer to make sure that none of our members suffer negative consequences subsequent to the restructuring. On the contrary, we expect to hire new employees as early as this Fall to meet increasing needs.”
