{"id":916,"date":"2022-06-22T14:37:18","date_gmt":"2022-06-22T14:37:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teamsters931.org\/?p=916"},"modified":"2022-06-22T14:37:20","modified_gmt":"2022-06-22T14:37:20","slug":"update-8-purolator-negotiations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teamsters931.ca\/en\/2022\/06\/22\/update-8-purolator-negotiations\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATE # 8- Purolator Negotiations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Brothers and Sisters,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This to inform you that negotiations with your employer&nbsp;<strong>concluded Friday, May 6, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our strong strike vote was bene\ufb01cial this week in attaining job-securing &amp; other important contract language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, I regret to inform you that the company\u2019s \ufb01nal o\ufb00er, including monetary, falls signi\ufb01cantly lower than our membership\u2019s needs and expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it is a \ufb01nal o\ufb00er, our IBT constitution dictates that it shall be voted upon by the membership and Teamsters Canada Package Division Rules also instruct that this vote be conducted by mail \/ electronic ballot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are deeply disappointed that your employer, as busy and as pro\ufb01table as they have been, continues to disregard your hard work, loyalty, and rightful expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your Negotiating Committee unanimously recommends the REJECTION of the o\ufb00er.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Membership meetings will be scheduled to fully explain the o\ufb00er. The voting package presenting all the proposed changes will be mailed to you. This vote will have an important impact on your working life so please make sure to be educated and participate. If you have moved, make sure your local has your current address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch for meeting details and for your voting package.
